Well, let me see, a few words about me? I grew up in the tiny Texas town of Sour Lake. I can't remember a time when I didn't love going through old photographs or taking silly photos of my friends and family. I knew I loved photography, but when my husband and I decided to purchase a digital camera, a whole new world opened up, Our passion for photography grew like wildfire. We both love to photograph whatever peaks our interests and we spend many hours together doing just that. With five children and four grandchildren, we never lack for photographic subjects and what could be more fun than taking photos of what you love the most.
For me, the most cherished photos are the ones that are unexpected, those sweet candid moments that you miss day to day. When I capture those sweet expressions and even the grumpy pouting faces, I feel like I have a stolen a moment in time.
Now that we are Grandparents, We truly appreciate the wonderful candid moments that we have captured of our own children and grandchildren, you will see many photos of our grandchildren in the gallery pages. We have taken hundreds of photos of our grandchildren, and we know that after we are long gone, these photos will be cherished more and more as our children grow older and have their own grandchildren.
As I grow older, I love to see the photos of my family and remember those moments when they were just flat out laughing, or running and jumping in mid air, or when big brother has beaten little sister to the frisbee and she plops down on the ground and I was able to capture that wonderful pouting face.
These are the memories that everyone cherishes. As much as we love the school photos or the studio poses, the true memories are the ones that capture who they really are. For Me, the only way to get these candid photos is to be where they are the most comfortable. Photos that are taken in their environment.
Photographs are of the photographer and her grandchildren
